The Pastoral priorities would include: equipping the congregation for ministry and discipleship, preaching the Word, training and teaching for spiritual maturity, training leaders, protecting the church from heresy and participating in leadership of the congregation.
A strong emphasis on truth and biblical principles is needed with a compassionate, energized and personable pastor who is willing to work with church leaders and the congregation to develop an effective discipleship outreach and to create opportunities where members can grow their faith, increase their ability to surrender to and rely upon the Lord, love others sacrificially and reproduce committed disciples.
Ministering to senior church members through visitation and fellowship time while working to grow discipleship and outreach opportunities to reach the community for Christ. Develop commitment and participation of all members to fully develop, equip and utilize all the resources and gifts of the entire body for maximum effectiveness as a witness (Salt and Light) to our community.
Based on the small, rural church setting and available resources, this position would be ideal for a pastor with a secondary income source or near retirement.
Formal Training & Education and/or Sufficient Background & Experience in Pastoring and Christian Service are Preferred.
