Regional Minister
The Northern California Association of the North American Baptist Conference (NorCal) is seeking a Regional Minister to serve our pastors, churches, and regional leadership team in a season of continued discernment, connection, and mission. We are looking for a relational, trustworthy, and forward-thinking leader who loves the local church, understands pastoral ministry, and has a clear calling to strengthen churches across cultures, generations, and communities while helping our churches engage the shared mission and values of the NAB.
In the NorCal context, the Regional Minister will build strong relationships with pastors and church leaders, foster unity and collaboration among churches, and serve as a key connection between the region and the broader NAB family. This role also includes supporting churches through challenge and transition, investing in emerging leaders, encouraging regional gatherings and spiritual formation, and championing church multiplication through planting, revitalization, partnerships, coaching, and training.
The Regional Minister will also serve in partnership with the broader NAB Conference, including the International Office, Executive Director, Executive Team, and other Regional Ministers, while remaining accountable to the NorCal Regional Leadership Team. In this relationship, the RM will help NorCal churches engage the shared mission and values of the NAB by encouraging movement toward the four NAB End Goals: missional and formational ministry, cross-cultural engagement, spiritual leadership development, and the sending and support of international missionaries. This partnership is not primarily supervisory, but collaborative, helping the NorCal Association stay connected to the wider NAB family while discerning how these shared priorities are faithfully lived out in our regional context.
About The Northern California Association
NorCal NAB is a network of nearly 50 churches committed to walking the way of Jesus and making disciples across the diverse communities of Northern California. With our oldest church over 100 years old and our newest church just 1 year old, NorCal NAB represents both a rich history of faithful ministry and an ongoing commitment to new expressions of Gospel witness. Since 1980, NorCal NAB has helped plant nearly 30 churches and continues to strengthen both new and established congregations through coaching, resources, leadership development, and regional partnership. As part of the broader NAB family, NorCal seeks to equip churches, develop healthy leaders, encourage church multiplication, and help congregations faithfully discern and participate in God’s mission in their unique local contexts.
