Graphic Designer – NAB International Office

The North American Baptist Conference has an opening for a Graphic Designer to work in our Roseville, CA International Office. We are seeking either a full-time or part-time Graphic Designer who shares our Christian beliefs and values in a capacity to help maximize communication effectiveness throughout the Conference.

Requirements and Qualifications

Qualifications required:

  • At least 2+ years’ experience in graphic design
  • Proficiency in Mac products and hardware
  • Proficiency with Acrobat Pro (editing documents, converting PDF to Word documents and creating PDF forms)
  • Experience with InDesign (layout, typography, composition, color theory for print collaterals and Data Merge knowledge)
  • Proficiency with Illustrator (creating and manipulating vector graphics)
  • Experience with Photoshop (manipulating images and creating design elements for web and print)
  • Knowledge of Responsive Design
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Knowledge of copyright law and laws governing photo usage


Qualifications desired:  

  • AA or BA degree in graphic design or related field


Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Design pieces for print including: brochures, magazines, mailers, newsletters, fundraising appeals,
  • Design pieces for web use including graphic elements, photos, and web documents
  • Design and manage corporate collateral (business cards, letterhead, missionary prayer cards, etc.)
  • Design unique brand identities for events/campaigns
  • Create environmental graphics for events/campaigns
  • Assist with production of materials and mailings
  • Act as liaison to communicate between staff and print and electronic vendors in outsourcing of materials
  • Coordinate with writers and editors to design and produce professional communication materials
  • Manage current branding scheme and align materials to create consistent products
  • Convert, change, or recreate materials to function across differing software for internal and external purposes
  • Clearly document features, technical specifications, and infrastructure requirements for self-produced technical work and job processes
  • Create PowerPoint and other presentation materials as needed
  • Remain fluent in current software advancements as they are relevant to design work
  • Perform back up reception duties
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Communications Director
