Executive/Regional Minister – British Columbia Baptist Association

The Executive Minister (aka, Regional Minister) is an active contributing member of the British Columbia Baptist Association leadership team, accountable to and working with the Executive Council.

Requirements and Qualifications

Responsibilities

• To reflect the values and pursue the mission of the Association.
• To work with the Executive Council in developing and fulfilling the mission of the Association.
• To personally engage with churches, pastors, and church leaders to help them pursue greater church health, leadership development, and church growth.
• To represent the Association to constituents, Association churches, the North American Baptist Conference of Churches, ministry partners, and the general public
• To support and engage in Regional Minister activities and events of the North American Baptist Conference when able.
• To fulfill other responsibilities as agreed to in cooperation with the Executive Council.
• Organize the annual pastor’s conference and Annual General Meeting.

Qualifications

• A personal and vibrant faith in Jesus Christ
• Commitment to the study of the Word and prayer
• A commitment to the Statement of Beliefs of the BCBA
• Passion for evangelism
• Fulfill the biblical qualifications for leadership
• Member of an Association church
• Effective communication skills
• Skill in conflict resolution
• Training in facilitation of church health, with successful implementation
• Pastoral experience required (minimum 10 years)
• Proven ability as a team-builder
• Proven disciple maker
• Willingness to travel
• Administration ability and experience
• Self motivator
• Innovative/creative
• Computer literate
