Senior Pastor – Napier Parkview Baptist Church
The Senior Pastor’s responsibilities shall be preaching the gospel; administering the ordinances; visitation, especially of the sick; exercising pastoral oversight; and exercising general guidance and care of the doctrinal and spiritual interests of the church and its members.
Requirements and Qualifications
The Senior Pastor shall be an ordained minister who is in full agreement with our Articles of Faith and will abide by our Constitution. He shall be supportive of all NPBC affiliations. He shall have appropriate Christian training. He shall meet the qualifications of I Timothy 3:1-7. As chief staff member, he shall be an ex-officio non-voting member of all boards and committees of the church. He shall oversee the ministries of the ministerial staff in counsel with the Board of Deacons, and the administrative staff in counsel with the Board of Trustees. He shall officiate at weddings, funerals, etc. The pastor or an assigned staff member should represent the church at association meetings, conventions, and conferences, with his expenses paid by the church. Time for outside speaking engagements is to be permitted to the pastor as agreed upon by the Church Board.
