Senior Pastor – West Hills Community Church

West Hills Community Church is seeking a full-time senior pastor who loves God and His Word and will lead this congregation in our desire to love and serve Jesus Christ. The senior pastor is Christ’s under-shepherd and spiritual leader of the church. He shall oversee the spiritual growth and vitality of the church leadership, staff, and congregation through biblical teaching, visionary communication, collaborative leadership, and pastoral care. This includes, but is not limited to, preaching, teaching, shepherding, and administering all areas of church ministry.

Requirements and Qualifications

Candidates must have a master’s degree from an accredited seminary (Master of Divinity preferred), with at least five years of experience in a pastoral role, and be able to pass an appropriate and thorough background check. Special Notes

West Hills Community Church (WHCC) is located in the west area of Salem, Oregon. This city is in the heart of the beautiful Willamette Valley, just an hour from both the Oregon coast and the Cascade Mountains. WHCC is a member of the North American Baptist Conference.

WHCC’s current weekly attendance is approximately 200.

The pastoral staff includes a full-time youth pastor, a worship pastor, a part-time community life pastor, children’s ministry director, and women’s ministry director. WHCC also employs a part-time office administrator, custodian, and pianist.

WHCC offers a variety of ministries, including Riviera Christian School, providing preschool through 5th-grade classes and child care. Our Hispanic Church ministry, Iglesia Bautista Renacer, is in partnership with Hispanics For Christ and includes a full-time pastor.

Compensation

This opportunity is a full-time, salaried position with competitive benefits. Salary is commensurate with experience as set by the WHCC Elder Board.
