Bud and Lois
Both Bud & Lois grew up in Christian families and were led to Christ by a parent at a young age. They both attended the same Christian camp.
In 1983, they answered the call to go to Cameroon where Bud served as the youth director of the Cameroon Baptist Convention. Two years later, both he and Lois were teaching at Cameroon Baptist Theological Seminary. Their third son, Jon, was born their second year in Cameroon.
Because of family health issues, they returned back to North America where Bud served as a pastor for NAB churches in North Dakota, then on staff as the associate director of missions for NAB, then Burlington, ON, and Gig Harbor, WA, where their fourth son, Joe, was born.
From 2000-2006, they enjoyed reaching the world at their doorstep as they served in ministry with international students at International Students Inc. in Washington, California, and Utah. From 2006 to 2014, Bud was the missions and outreach pastor at Central Baptist in Edmonton, Alberta, and Lois led women’s Bible studies. Their primary focus was reaching both international students and recent immigrants.
Experiencing complications with their son’s visa as he was turning 18, they chose to move back to the U.S. where two of their sons live in Utah.
The Lord has prompted them to finish their full-time ministry calling by once again serving internationally. Their goal is to become educators in East Asia. They both enjoy teaching conversational English to students of other languages.
They will need your prayers as they begin preparing to reach out by serving in a very different culture and language, and leaving children and grandchildren. They hope to be on the field by Fall 2015
May God be gracious to us and bless us and make His face to shine upon us,that Your way may be known on earth, Your saving power among all nations.Psalm 67:1-2
