RFIS Statement

Greeting, NAB family.

This past week I was informed by Calvin Hohn, our NAB field director in Cameroon, and Kristi TenClay, the director of the Rain Forest International School in Yaoundé, Cameroon, of an armed robbery at the school. Below is the official statement from the school. Please be in prayer for the faculty, staff, and students of the school. Thank you for your prayers and partnership with NAB missions.

Kerry L. Bender
Vice President of International Missions for the NAB

On Thursday, February 4, Rain Forest International School experienced an armed intrusion and robbery. We are incredibly thankful that through God’s grace and protection their direct interaction was limited to a handful of staff members and that no staff members or students were physically harmed!

Local law enforcement responded following the incident, and investigations are underway. Please be praying for our community as we all process these events and evaluate what actions can be taken to better protect our community in the future.

Because investigations are in progress and to prevent speculation and the spread of rumors, please limit any social media or public discussion of this situation to the official statement above. Your help in this matter is greatly appreciated.
