Special Notes

Raymore Baptist Church was founded in 1911 as Serath Baptist Church and joined with the Raymore Mission in the early 1960s to form Raymore Baptist Church. We are a member of the Saskatchewan Baptist Association and the North American Baptist Conference. We are a small community of believers in Raymore, Saskatchewan. Our congregation is primarily composed of active seniors, along with a few young families. Our attendance ranges from 15–20 on a Sunday morning. We are a close-knit family of Christ followers and have a strong desire to see our church family continue to grow in our faith and in numbers as we plant seeds by our actions and words in our community. Our Mission Statement is based on Hebrews 10:23–25 and says: “To make and nurture disciples of Jesus Christ through fellowship, worship, instruction and service.”

Although we have been without a pastor for over three years, we have faithfully continued to hold worship services using teaching series from RightNow Media and Fresh Life Church, along with the support of several consistent pulpit supply ministers. Through these resources, our congregation has remained spiritually nourished, and we are grateful for God’s provision during this season. Our church is also home to a Bible Quizzing program that includes five dedicated youth (grades 7–12) and two committed coaches. Participants study a chapter of Scripture and meet weekly for practices that include Bible study, Scripture memorization, and preparation for competitions. The team participates in six to seven meets each year. In addition, we have recently launched a youth group that has been well attended, averaging 15–20 students. We are excited about this ministry and desire to see it continue to grow and flourish.

Throughout the year we have potlucks, church game nights, camp promo Sundays, and various events. The church facility is also made available for the community to use for various purposes. Raymore Baptist Church is governed by a church board currently consisting of seven members. The board is unified in purpose and committed to listening carefully to one another and to the congregation as we prayerfully discern God’s direction for our church family.
