Co-Director of Community Development – One-Eighty Programs
One-Eighty is dedicated to the restoration of our city through 180º turns towards thriving physically, emotionally, and spiritually. One-Eighty Community seeks to create safe and healthy communities in high-risk neighborhoods through partnerships between law enforcement, public school districts, faith-based organizations, and community agencies, as well as living among the people.
The Community Development Co-Director will report to One-Eighty Executive Co-Directors Jake McGregor (primary) and Alison McGregor (secondary).
General Job Responsibilities
- Maintain a positive, teachable attitude in all things.
- Maintain an active, growing relationship with Jesus Christ, and be involved in a local church.
- Participate in all organizational staff meetings, training, retreats, and fundraising.
- Operate as a team player within the larger organizational ecosystem, collaborating with other One-Eighty Directors and reporting to the Executive Team.
- Network and build strong relationships with local school administrations, local businesses in the area, city government, public and private entities, and others as necessitated by your community development emphasis.
- Develop relationships with donors and supporters of the organization.
- Be a good communicator and able to resolve conflicts in a healthy manner.
Community Development Co-Director Responsibilities
One-Eighty Residency – 20 hours/week
- Manage and facilitate all aspects of the new One-Eighty academic residency program.
- Collaborate with Jake and Alison to manage and facilitate recruitment and the development of relationships necessary to maintain a full complement of One-Eighty Residents.
- In collaboration with the Resident Assistant, maintain a full list of residential standards for all academic residents, including both professional development and disciplinary actions as they arise.
- Working with the NorCal Association of NAB churches to develop and facilitate a rigorous program of spiritual formation for One-Eighty Residents.
- Collaborate with Alison McGregor, One-Eighty Executive Co-Director of Counseling & Resources, to manage and maintain academic standards as required by Kairos University.
- Collaborate with Jake McGregor and Liz Stevahn to ensure the program for theological and missional formation meets set standards.
- Work with the resident assistant to ensure and maintain a high level of cleanliness and maintenance for the Central Street facility.
- Active participation in two house meetings per week – 1 morning meeting and 1 evening meeting.
One-Eighty Community Leadership – 20 hours/week
- Collaborate with the Co-Director for Community Development in all aspects of neighborhood and school-based programming, working to ensure that all programs align with the vision and mission of One-Eighty Community.
- Collaborate with the One-Eighty Leadership Team to develop and manage the necessary networks for community development and local stakeholders.
- Manage and recruit volunteers for neighborhood ministry activities.
- Set vision and goals for community development.
- Attend various neighborhood events and activities as needed to help foster community engagement.
- Participate in eight hours of direct services:
- To include, but not limited to, taking shift rotations at various after-school programming sites.
- Supporting and engaging with a volunteer base as needed.
- Attend and participate in all training and development opportunities for the One-Eighty Community Team.

- $72,800 per year – 50% support raised according to One-Eighty’s support-raising guidelines
Probationary Period: This job description is considered probationary for 90 days, with 30/60/90-day evaluations. At the end of 90 days, this job description will be reviewed and adjusted, and the position will become permanent.
