McDougall Kids Ministry Coordinator – Central Baptist Church

The Kids Ministry Coordinator will help lead, organize, and develop the Sunday kids ministry at McDougall for children from age 0 through Grade 6. This will include helping launch and strengthen ministry in a newly forming congregation, building relationships with families, and creating a warm and trustworthy environment for kids, parents, and volunteers.

This role will involve recruiting, scheduling, encouraging, and equipping volunteers to serve with children. The coordinator will work to build healthy teams, communicate clearly with parents and leaders,
and help ensure that kids ministry is well prepared each Sunday.

The Kids Ministry Coordinator will also work alongside other Central kids ministry staff in a multi-site setting, making use of shared curriculum, policies, systems, and support. They will help ensure that
Central’s safety policies are followed and that kids ministry at McDougall reflects the heart and values of the broader church.

Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a growing relationship with Jesus, a heart for the local church, a deep love for children and families, and a sense of calling to help children know and follow Jesus. They should be spiritually mature, relationally warm, organized, teachable, dependable, and able to recruit and encourage volunteers. They should have relevant ministry experience, and post-secondary education is preferred but not required.

They will affirm Central’s Statement of Beliefs, support Central’s vision and values, and participate in appropriate staff rhythms, coaching, and meetings as directed by the McDougall Site Pastor.
