Grace Baptist Church has a large multi-use building that is centrally located in Calgary’s Northeast community of Radisson Heights. Grace Baptist Church’s desire is to grow together as deeply rooted followers of Jesus who steward our gifts to serve God’s kingdom. Grace Baptist Church is looking for an experienced leader to become our next pastor of Operational Ministries. This role forms an integral part of the leadership of the church, ensuring the readiness of the church to fulfill its ministry mission.

The pastor of Operational Ministries will be responsible for the overall leadership and direction of the church operations team, leading all functional areas to accomplish the church’s mission. This includes operations, strategic planning with the lead team, development, human resources, and finance.

Requirements and Qualifications

Those recognized as pastors within Grace Baptist Church should be able to verbalize a sense of a God-given calling to a vocation of Christian ministry. They should be able to articulate a theology/philosophy of ministry that shapes their pastoral engagement. They must have gifts that are strategic to the fulfillment of the position description.

This position assists the lead pastor in providing leadership and overall direction of the church staff, leading all functional ministries in the accomplishment of the church’s mission.

The pastor of Operational Ministries will serve in three critical roles: leader, developer, and supervisor.
