Resident – Community Development
The One-Eighty Residency Program is a one-year, intensive internship program designed to give you a comprehensive introduction to mission, theology, and practical life. Through formal and informal gatherings and practices, our residents will learn how to live life with others in a dorm setting, see the beauty in cross-cultural living, learn how God is already working in and through them, and practice rhythms that will keep them grounded throughout their year together.
Through this program, residents will receive:
Student Pathway: 54 accredited academic units through Kairos University (upon successful completion of the program) towards a BA degree. - Intern Pathway: Paid ministry hours and support in pursuing an MA-level degree with Kairos University.
- Full room and board at the Central Street Residence.
- A full year of deep spiritual formation in close community.
- Practice integrated courses to receive a broad understanding of contextual theology & missiology.
- Experience in youth ministry & programming, outdoor education & adventure programming, adolescent mental health, and community development.
- Opportunity to attend an international study and ministry trip (El Salvador).
- A front-row seat to see how God is working in a small community through counselors, guides, mentors, and neighbors.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Christian young adults, 18–25 years old
- High school graduates with a minimum 2.5 GPA
- For the intern pathway, a completed BA degree
- Passionate about youth ministry, missions, or community development
- Ready to live, learn, pray, and serve alongside a close-knit team for a full year
