Bonfire is a gathering of NAB leaders who have given themselves to joining God on mission in their various contexts. It is a time to build into deep community with one another, receive inspiration and continue training together.
Over the last number of years, Bonfire has become a treasured time for leaders across the NAB to gather together to reflect on the missional/formational journey we are on as a conference. We reconnect with ministry friends, make new ones, and deepen the relationships among this community of leaders.
Our Bonfire gatherings are open to anyone who has gone through Blue Ocean, Light Blue Ocean, Year of Bonfire, or Ethos. If that is you and you’re not already receiving our Bonfire updates, contact Cam Roxburgh to be added to the list.

Bonfire Conversations
This seven-week study is designed for you to guide your church, small group, or Bible study through a series of videos and readings to provide a renewed theological vision with the church on mission serving as a sign, servant, and foretaste of the Kingdom of God. The goal is to identify current disruptions within the Western Church and to invite followers of Jesus to a renewed practice of presence with God, with one another, and with our neighbors. You can check out the full study guide and videos at the Bonfire Conversations page.
Year of Bonfire
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were not able to meet for our regular Bonfire gathering in 2020, so in its place, we met monthly for A Year of Bonfire. It was a powerful time to connect with leaders across the conference as we processed conversations around spiritual formation and joining God on mission. For your convenience, we have collected each of these gatherings into a video playlist.
