Worship Pastor – First Baptist of Minot

As the worship pastor at First Baptist Church, you will oversee our Worship Ministry, ensuring our services are engaging and run smoothly across all platforms. Your responsibilities will include leading worship, managing volunteers, overseeing the technical side of services, and contributing to pastoral care. This role requires a blend of musical ability, technical knowledge, and leadership skills to support the church’s worship and spiritual goals.

Requirements and Qualifications

Spiritual Commitment: A born-again believer with a demonstrated commitment to Christ, his teachings, and a mature Christian walk. Must actively participate in worship and have a heart for evangelism.

Musical Talent: Ability to lead worship both vocally and with a musical instrument, such as a guitar or keyboard. A broad understanding of music as it relates to worship.

Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading worship and managing volunteers within a church setting. The ability to organize, direct, and inspire teams.

Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of media and technology used in worship services and church operations. Capable of overseeing technical aspects of services and providing basic tech support.

Pastoral Skills: Experience or training in pastoral roles is an advantage. Should be willing to undertake preaching, counseling, and visitation as needed.

Education: Preferably an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution. Additional training in theology, music, or media is beneficial but not required.

Team Player: Must value working collaboratively with church staff and congregants, placing the church’s goals above personal ambitions.

This position seeks someone with a heart for worship, a knack for leadership, and the ability to seamlessly blend the spiritual with the practical in a church environment.

Compensation: The salary for the worship pastor position is competitive and determined by the Elder Board, in line with the candidate’s experience and qualifications. First Baptist Church offers health benefits to all full-time staff, as well as vacation and sick leave.
