Cameroon Update from Calvin Hohn

Calvin Hohn, NAB field director and director of Cooperating Missions for the Cameroon Baptist Convention, was recently visiting the NAB International Office and wanted to take a few minutes to personally give an update on what’s happening on the field in Cameroon. Take some time to watch the video above where Calvin shares gratitude for your partnership, how the team is doing, what relief funds are being used for, and how you can be praying.

Video Resources on Prayer

By Dan Hamil, NAB Executive Director

As we start off 2019 focusing on prayer, here are a few videos that range from a three-minute primer to a half-hour sermon. Our hope is they might serve to assist you with deepening your understanding of prayer, strengthening your prayer life, and challenging your misconceptions about prayer.

Dr. Oliver Crisp, a systematic theologian affiliated with Fuller Seminary, speaks about the difference between prayer as petition and prayer as presence.

This fairly dated video shows Dr. Haddon Robinson, known as a scholar and teacher on preaching, speaking at a seminary chapel service on the Lord’s Prayer.

Dr. Fred Long is a professor of New Testament at Asbury Seminary, and he provides a seven-minute review of Paul’s prayers in the book of Ephesians.

Church Planter of the Week

Mark Zubert, Create Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Create Church describes itself as neighbors from every walk of life simply following Jesus in an informal, non-religious, relationship-first, compassionate community. In addition to their low-key weekly gatherings on Saturday nights, there are various gatherings throughout the week tailored to niche communities of people in an effort to go to the places Jesus would go, eat with the people Jesus would eat with, and create church for the people farthest away from the organized church. Pray for their efforts to connect with the local community through studying, playing, and praying together. Visit for more information.
