The Hungarian Baptist Union holds a thanksgiving service every year at Camp Falcon Rock. It is a time of singing and sharing stories of God’s faithfulness, of being challenged by God’s Word, and of fellowship. This year, I had the privilege of joining the service on September 6. What an absolute joy to be in a room full of people praising and thanking God!

The NAB has been partnering with the Hungarian Baptists for over a decade. I have been praying with the missionaries and Hungarians as they have been building Camp Falcon Rock over the years. I was grateful for the opportunity to visit, to see the camp, and to hear stories of how God has been at work there through the years. The excitement and vision they have for the future ministry of Camp Falcon Rock is contagious.
Camp Falcon Rock serves not only the Hungarian Baptist Union but also groups in the region who want a safe place to gather. God is using the camp as a place for fellowship and growth for Christians and as an outreach to share the love of Jesus in the surrounding communities.

NAB missionaries Vern and Gloria Wagner faithfully and humbly serve at the camp in construction, cleaning, hosting, landscaping, cooking, and just about anything else that needs doing. I was exhausted after just one weekend with them!

The camp is run by Tamas and Tunde Modi and their team of local Christians who serve God faithfully and tirelessly. Two other young adults from a local village, Miriam and Robi, also serve at the camp by leading the summer camps for the Hungarian Baptists. They have also recently started to hold English camps in villages and small towns in the area to share Jesus’s love.

Praise the Lord for newly appointed missionaries, Jon and Jeni Bransford! The Hungarian Baptists are excited for this new partnership and vision.
It was my privilege to meet all these passionate servants of Jesus and to hear their hearts for sharing his love throughout Romania. Would you join us in praying for Camp Falcon Rock, Vern and Gloria, Tamas and Tunde, Miriam, Robi, and Jon and Jeni? Would you consider how God might be calling you or your church to partner with the Hungarian Baptists and Camp Falcon Rock?
