As the NAB’s missionary presence in Japan finalizes the transition from serving under its own legal entity to serving under TEAM Japan, the churches of the Japan Baptist Conference wanted to express their heartfelt gratitude to the NAB – past and present missionaries to Japan and to the wider NAB family – for all the ways we have supported and partnered with them for many decades. NAB missionary to Japan Yuri Nakano said:
The Japan Baptist Conference churches are very thankful for all the years the NAB has sent missionaries to plant churches and to serve in many ways. They created a video letter with many photos of previous missionaries. It is with heartfelt gratitude that the current churches created this video, and they wished to send this to the NAB.

For the past 15 years, Kristi TenClay has served as an NAB missionary in Cameroon teaching at Rain Forest International School, influenced many lives and caring for many students, including a number of NAB missionary kids. As of June 30, 2025, Kristi will be closing out her term as an NAB missionary.
For those of you who are currently giving and praying in support of Kristi, we thank you, deeply and sincerely, and we ask that you continue to do so through the end of June to allow her to end her time well as she discovers what direction God is leading her toward and her next steps. We then invite you to transition any future gifts either to Claire and Tim Marker, serving at the Bicol Center for Christian Leadership in the Philippines; Maureen Moody, serving as the Cameroon field director; or Jeff and Sonya Kilmartin, serving with a Muslim-background least-reach people group in the northern interior of Cameroon.
For those who are not current supporters of Kristi, we still invite you to pray for her transition into what God has set aside for her next. And in case you don’t already, we also invite you to give to any of the above missionaries.
All gifts for Kristi received after June 30 will be designated to the NAB General Missions Fund, which goes toward the ongoing work of the International Missions Department. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. You can reach out to Caryn Young at cyoung@nabconf.org or to Joel David, VP of International Missions, at jdavid@nabconf.org. Thank you all the ways you support NAB missions and the breaking in of the Kingdom of God around the world!

In this latest episode, host Drew Steinhart talks with Sophie Streeter, the Students and Connections Coordinator at Heartland Community Church in Medina, Ohio. In their conversation, Sophie shares what it was like growing up the daughter of an NAB church planter and how that experience – coupled with her heart for working with youth – has shaped her understanding of ministry and the path God has led her down.
