Goodbye, Kristi TenClay – You Will Be Missed

By Randy Schmor
NAB Gateway Director

As many of you know, Kristi TenClay is ending her missionary service with the NAB on June 30, 2025. On behalf of the NAB Conference and the NAB International Missions Department, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to Kristi for her 15 years of serving the children of missionaries and many others in Cameroon, especially at Rain Forest International School.

No matter the time or the season, Kristi served with energy, compassion, and enthusiasm. Just this past October, I had the chance to witness Kristi using that energy and love for students at the NAB/ABA Greater Edmonton Mission (GEM) Conference youth event. Her love for students is evident no matter where she encounters them, and I believe that love will go with her regardless of where she finds herself serving in the future: be it here in North America or abroad. Thank you for bringing yourself to your missionary service for these past years, Kristi! You will be missed.

We also thank YOU, Kristi’s prayer and financial supporters, for all the ways you supported Kristi over the years and allowed her to focus on her significant service in Cameroon, teaching and influencing many lives. Again, thank you for your important support.

As supporters of Kristi, we’d also like to encourage you to consider transferring your giving to another NAB missionary couple who have already been serving but are looking to take the next step in becoming continuing-term missionaries with the NAB. Claire and Tim Marker have served at the Bicol Center for Christian Leadership for over a decade, first from a distance but over the past few years actually living in the Philippines on-site at the BCCL. As all missionaries do, Claire and Tim have served at great sacrifice as partners with the NAB and directing BCCL, but their longevity in being able to continue in this role really depends on their ability to have the support that comes with being missionaries. Up to this point, they have been serving without any significant support. Please consider supporting the Markers regularly, just as you did Kristi. You can click here to find out more about the Markers, as well as read their most recent newsletters.

Lastly, if your heart is for the missionary work in Cameroon, where Kristi served for all those years, we also encourage you to support either Maureen Moody, our Cameroon field director who has served in various stints over the past 35 years, or Jeff and Sonya Kilmartin, who work with a Muslim-background least-reached people group in the northern interior of Cameroon. You can find out more about Maureen and the Kilmartins at nabonmission.org.

May God bless you as you consider. Thank you again for your support to this point, and we hope to continue to partner with you in the future through one of these or other opportunities. If you have any questions or wish to talk about transitioning your financial support, please reach out to Caryn Young, director of Administration for International Missions, at cyoung@nabconf.org. Thank you, and God bless!
