New Stories in the NAB

Mark and Cheryl Buchanan have a passion for reaching Indigenous women and ministering the healing power of Christ in their lives. They have seen God move powerfully through their ministry, New Story Community, which they run out of and in partnership with Camp Caroline in Alberta.

The Buchanans have also experienced a Church that still has room to grow in its ability and willingness to extend Christ’s love and invitation to community to the Indigenous population.

In this interview in recognition of the upcoming National Day of Truth and Reconciliation in Canada on September 30, Wayne Stapleton and Bethany Kaposhi chat with the Buchanans about their ministry and what we as the Church can learn so we can more faithfully share the love of Jesus with the Indigenous community. Their story and insights can teach us a lot about extending the Kingdom of God and serving those in need in and near our communities.
