In Support of International Missions

The NAB is delighted to announce our newest missionaries, Jonathan and Jeni Bransford!

Jonathan and Jeni are currently in the process of gathering financial and prayer supporters to help get them to Romania, where they will serve among the churches of the Hungarian Baptist Convention in Romania and through the many programs and activities at Camp Falcon Rock. They are estimated to be on the field in late 2027 or early 2028.

Jonathan grew up in Kenya, where his parents served as missionaries, and he has carried a heart for missions ever since. With his firsthand observations of missions in Kenya and across other parts of Africa – and having since visited Gospel workers in Mexico, India, and Austria – Jonathan brings both a lifelong passion and a deeply personal understanding of what cross-cultural ministry requires.

Jeni’s call to missions came in the fall of 2002, when she felt the Lord prompting her to pray about serving overseas. After months of prayer, Kenya came into focus, and a door opened for her to teach at a missionary school there – a door the Lord redirected when she met Jonathan in early 2003. Short-term trips to Mexico and Kenya, and ten months of living in Kenya together as a couple, have all been part of God’s patient preparation.

Jonathan and Jeni came to us through their local NAB church, where their pastor, Dana Goodnough – now an NAB regional minister – encouraged them to go through Fit Assessment.

In Romania, Jonathan will preach and teach among the Hungarian Baptist churches of the region, while both Jonathan and Jeni invest in mentoring and discipling youth and young adults through Camp Falcon Rock. The Bransfords will also devote a good portion of their first couple of years on the field to learning the local language and gaining functional fluency.

As they prepare for this new chapter, Jonathan and Jeni ask for prayer on two fronts: that God would fill them with confidence for the journey ahead, and that he would raise up “Macedonian supporters” – those who give generously and joyfully out of a sense of partnership in the Gospel.

Spring Missions Sunday is coming, March 29.

We invite every NAB church to join in by praying intentionally for the nations and by giving generously to the Global Missions Fund as part of the 2026 Spring Missions Offering.

Even as God continues to work powerfully through the faithfulness of NAB missionaries and partners, there remain large portions of the world with little or no access to the Gospel. The kind of mission work to build this access does not happen quickly, and it cannot happen alone. It requires patient discernment, deep dependence on prayer, and long term commitment through the local church. That is why the NAB’s Global Missions Fund remains essential. While individual missionaries are supported through partnering churches and personal networks, the Global Missions Fund provides the shared foundation that allows NAB International Missions to send, support, and care for workers with wisdom and faithfulness for the long haul.

Bonfire 2026 registration is open! This year, Bonfire will be taking place in Medina, Ohio, May 5–8, 2026.

This year, we are streamlining this event in a way we hope reflects this purpose. There will be two main evening sessions for the entire group, including dinner, fellowship, worship, and a unified speaker. During the days, each attendee will join their specific group gathering, or Ministry Track – Multipliers Summit, MAT, Missional Initiatives alum, etc. – to engage with each other.

The evening speakers for Bonfire will be NAB pastors Doug Kempton from Detroit, Michigan, and Rev. Rob Cripps, from Toronto, Ontario. During the day, those attending Multipliers Summit will hear from Jeremy and Monica Chambers, while those in the Missional Alumni track will be spending time with Alan Roxburgh.

It is our hope that Bonfire 2026 will serve you, equip you, and encourage you in ways both specific to your individual group but also in broad ways as a vital member of our conference of churches.
