Video Resources on the Word
By Dan Hamil, NAB Executive Director
As we continue this month focusing our hearts, minds, and resources on the Word of God, here are a few videos that we hope will serve you and assist you with deepening your understanding of the Word as a transforming element in our lives.
Tim Keller shares an apologetically interesting understanding of why we can trust the Word of God.
Dallas Willard reflects on scripture memorization as transformation. This video also deals with how scriptures can renew the mind even in issues of pornography.
This video is of Kevin Vanhoozer, an evangelical theologian, speaking on the role of the Holy Spirit in reading and understanding God’s authoritative Word. This is a highly academic lecture, but insightful in helping us remember the role of the Spirit in biblical interpretation.
Christine Parton Burkett of Duke Divinity School on this video reminds us of the power of reading the Word of God in our worship gatherings.
Rev. Jacob Ehman
A longtime member of the NAB family, Jacob Ehman, went home to be with the Lord on March 8. Jacob and Helen felt the call to ministry just three months after getting married. After serving many churches throughout Oklahoma, Montana, North Dakota, Iowa, and Michigan for thirty years, Jacob served as regional minister for the Midwest and then again in retirement for the Great Lakes Association. He continued ministry as Pastor Emeritus at Word of Life Baptist Church until 2017, when he retired for the final time at the age of 94. The NAB has been very blessed by Jacob’s legacy, and our prayers go out to his friends and family!

Church Planter of the Week
David Ibarra, Field Coordinator for Hispanics for Christ in Rafaela, Argentina. David has spent roughly twenty years planting churches across central and northern Argentina. Pray for David’s ministry with Hispanics for Christ, training pastors and planting new churches, even as he continues to serve as pastor of Iglesia Jesucristo Mi Esperanza. Just last month, the church held a ministries fair to connect people with the different ways they can serve the church. Pray that the fruits of this fair would continue to edify the church body. Ask God to give David great strength and wisdom as he helps the church reach those in Argentina for Jesus Christ. For more information, visit the Hispanics for Christ website at www.hispanicsforchrist.org.
