Missional Resources for You

Missional Resources for You or Your Church

Blue Ocean is a one-year introduction to missional/formational theology and practice, exploring what it means to have a renewed theological vision of the church on mission, serving as a sign, servant, and foretaste of the Kingdom of God. Each cohort meets three times a year in three different cities across the United States and Canada for multi-day retreats. Blue Ocean includes NAB pastors, leaders, and regional ministers representing a cross-section of regions, church sizes, and ministry styles. For more information or to sign up, contact Lisa Schmidt.

Ethos is a two-year journey that is designed to help leaders of churches understand the Why and then the How to help their churches make a paradigm shift from a modern approach to ministry to a more missional/formational approach. This six-module journey, centered around two- to three-day retreats with other leaders in the region, guides leaders into a more missional/formational understanding of who God is and how He invites His people to join Him on mission locally and internationally. If interested in Ethos, contact your regional minister or Cam Roxburgh.

Discovery Project is a weekend seminar aimed at helping the people of the church to see God through a missional lens and to begin to have an imagination for how they might join Him in the neighborhood. Discovery Project is designed to encourage the body of the church to live as followers of Jesus who bear witness to Him in every area of our lives. Many leaders have returned from Blue Ocean or Ethos and asked how they might equip their people to join God on Mission. The Discovery Project is that resource. Contact Cam Roxburgh for more information.

Missionary of the Week

Paco Damian, Field Coordinator with Hispanics for Christ in Queretaro, Mexico. At the age of seventeen, Paco began to get involved in the youth ministry at his church. After serving as a leader for six years and finishing his university studies in architecture, God called him to study at the Word of Life Bible Institute in Argentina. In 2004, God put a desire in Paco’s heart, together with Israel Contreras, to start Fusion Ministries, a church-planting ministry established in the state of Queretaro in central Mexico. After planting their first church, Iglesia Bíblica Misionera (Bible Missionary Church) in Queretaro, three other churches have been planted around Mexico. Paco and his wife, Shawna, have two children. Pray for Paco and his ministry through Hispanics for Christ. Visit www.hispanicsforchrist.org to find out more about this ministry.
